A little organizing never hurt anyone...

Yesterday, while Cooper was napping, I decided to go ahead and pull out and wash Cooper's big boy eating items since he's four months and I know cereal and baby food (I'm planning to make my own...any tips?) are right around the corner.

Once I got them all out of their packages, washed and organized, I decided the whole cabinet needed a little organizing...(I'm a terrible blogger and forgot to take before pictures.)

Once I had that cabinet done, the neighboring cabinets were looking a little messy so I organized them, too! They were all perfect when I was organizing like a crazy person nesting before Cooper, but since he arrived, they had gotten a little crazy.

I went through and cleaned out our medicine cabinet and I have big plans for it. Gotta get some containers.

Finally I decided to whip our pantry cabinet and cookware cabinet into shape.

...so a 15 minute project turned into 2 hours, BUT I love having everything back in its place. I have pinned some great organizing inspiration for our pantry cabinet, I just need to purchase some containers and labels.

This is a start though and I LOVE it!

  3. Oh, I need to organize! For the Baby Food- have a plan and do it in one day. I've made several batches this way. Tyler Florence has a great baby food cookbook. I have several recipes pinned under "kiddos". I would freeze in ice cube trays so the portions are small. That way, he can have several items at once-do we eat just peas for lunch? It's time consuming but worth it. Oh- and roast everything you can...the flavor is so much better!

    1. How cool is it that Tyler Florence has a baby food book? Need to check that out. The ice cube tray idea I have heard is a must. I got some baby food freezer trays (basically just BPA free ice cube trays with lids, ha!) at my shower so I can't wait to use them. Thanks Love!

  5. I think I have the baby food making down to a science. Call me and we will chat. It's easy peasy and you can knock it out in a couple hours at most if you know how to plan it right.
